A four-year letter winner in baseball and football, he was a professional baseball prospect who batted .407 as a junior. A member of two undefeated gridiron squads, he earned All-Middle Atlantic Conference honors at halfback during his junior season when he led the team in rushing. His 92-yard touchdown vs. Ursinus in 1957 remains the longest run from scrimmage in school history, and he still holds the JC record for average yards per carry in a season - 9.3 yards a try in 1957. A retired educator and football, baseball and lacrosse coach, he led East Orange High School to consecutive New Jersey State Football Championships in 1967 and 1968. Jim was the co-recipient with his twin brother, Bill, of Juniata's prestigious Stanford Mickle Award in 1960.

Arriving on College Hill after two years at Penn State-Altoona, she was a standout guard in basketball and infielder in softball. A two-year starter on the hardwood, she was Juniata MVP and All-Middle Atlantic Conference as a senior when she led the team in assists, steals and points. She remains fourth in assists (195), seventh in steals (132) and 12th in scoring (692) on the Juniata career charts. A two-time Juniata MVP in softball, she remains the school's only player to receive All-Region and All-America honors in the sport. During an outstanding senior season, she led the team in runs (27) and hits (26) while batting .433 with 19 runs batted in. After graduation, she was an all-tournament selection on a Class A slow pitch national championship team.

Don Everhart '49

A four-year letter winner and captain in baseball, he led the team in runs batted in during each season from 1946-49 and was the catcher for every inning of every Juniata game those four years. He was nearly as durable in football, starting every game but one from 1946-48 and playing the full 60 minutes nine times. A three-year letter winner on the gridiron, he served as a captain or co-captain each season, including 1947 when Juniata upset powerful Lebanon Valley for the first time. He played fullback, end and quarterback as well as handling the punting duties during his career for coach Bill Smaltz. He was an inductee to the Broad Top Old Timers Baseball Hall of Fame in 1986.

A four-year starter at guard and the team's leading scorer each season from 1975-79, he is second in Juniata history with 1,692 career points. The Juniata MVP as a freshman in 1975-76, he earned second team All-Middle Atlantic Conference honors after his freshman and sophomore seasons. He was first team All-Middle Atlantic Conference and All-District during his senior campaign in 1978-79, when he set school records for points (582) and scoring average (27.7 per game). He has three of the top eight single-game point totals in school history, including a Juniata record 50 points vs. King's on February 3, 1979. He owns school records for free throws in a game (20) and free throw percentage in a game (.909), season (.865) and career (.779). He also remains 11th on the career assist chart.

The Goods have supported Juniata and its department of athletics for many years. A Juniata Trustee Emeritus, Joe and his wife Jane have attended hundreds of Juniata sporting events on College Hill and across the country. They have been active members of the J-Club and have provided leadership for athletics fund-raising and special projects to assist the department of athletics, including the men's and women's volleyball national championships. While a student at Juniata, Joe served as manager of the track and field team for coach Mike Snider. Joe is also an accomplished sportsman with experience on expeditions all over the United States and around the world.

A four-year member of both the basketball and track and field teams, she was also a member of the apparatus team as a freshman and sophomore, and played on the first Juniata field hockey team as a senior in 1933. She was captain of the basketball team as a senior and finished as the squad's high scorer. One of her best performances was a then school-record 25 points at Drexel when she scored six points in one minute from her forward position. She was also a Juniata record holder in track and field, setting the school standard in the high jump. As an educator in the Richland School District near Johnstown, PA, she served as cheerleader coach.

Grady Paul '84

A four-year letter winner in both sports, he earned All-Middle Atlantic Conference baseball honors as a catcher and designated hitter in 1984, and played on two MAC division championship diamond teams. The school-record holder in documented career home runs (25) and runs batted in for a single game (8), he signed a two-year contract with the Baltimore Orioles organization and later served as an assistant baseball coach for five years at Messiah College. He hit nine home runs as a junior, was team captain and Juniata MVP as a senior, and remains in the school's top 20 with a career batting average of .325. A football captain as a senior defensive back, he led the team with four interceptions in 1983, and recorded the fifth-longest interception return in Juniata history with a 73-yard touchdown vs. Wilkes in 1981. He was the recipient of the school's Stanford Mickle Award in 1984.

A four-year letter winner in each sport, he was a three-time All-American in track and field and earned honorable mention All-America football recognition twice. A defensive lineman on the gridiron, he was a first-team All-Middle Atlantic Conference selection as a junior and senior. He was named Juniata's most valuable lineman in 1985, when he served as a senior co-captain. Still the school-record holder in the javelin and shot put, he earned Middle Atlantic Conference individual titles in the shot put (1984-86), javelin (1984) and discus (1986). He competed in the NCAA Division III National Track and Field Championships from 1984-86, winning a fourth place medal in the javelin as a sophomore. Also a captain for the track and field team, he was the recipient of Juniata's Stanford Mickle Award in 1986.

A four-year letter winner in football and pro prospect, he established numerous Juniata records at tailback in 1975-76 and 1978-79. He earned first team All-Middle Atlantic Conference honors as a sophomore and junior, and received MAC honorable mention as a senior. A team captain as a junior and senior, he was named ECAC and New York Times All-East after the 1978 campaign. Third in career rushing and all-purpose yardage at Juniata, he was the record holder in both categories from 1979-89. He still holds Juniata marks for consecutive games scoring a touchdown (10) and rushing yards per game in a season (120.4) - the latter set in 1978 when he was selected as Juniata's most valuable back. He won two Eastern Judo championships in the heavyweight division. In his sophomore year, he earned the Eastern Judo title for all divisions.

Cross Country, Track and Field

A four-year letter winner in both sports, he retired the record for Juniata's original 4.3 mile cross country course. In cross country dual meets, he lost only twice to runners from other schools. The #1 runner for Juniata throughout his career, he finished in the top 10 at the Middle Atlantic Conference Cross Country Championships four times, including a runner-up showing as a senior. He was a senior captain in cross country and a two-year captain in track and field, where he was the team's high scorer in 1962, 1964 and 1965. He won the gold medal for the two-mile run at the 1964 Middle Atlantic Conference Track and Field Championships, breaking the MAC record at that time. He placed second in the MAC two-mile in 1962, third in 1963 and second in 1965. As a senior, he became the first Juniatian to win three athletics awards in the same year after being named MVP in both cross country and track and field, and receiving the prestigious Stanford Mickle Award.
